Reclaiming our history ICDE Presentation

Congratulations to Irwin and Martin for presenting this great piece of work using Katy Jordan’s expertise on citation network analysis. A very interesting look at a number of key open and digital learning papers, and connections between other academic and research origins.

  1. Hi Dr Rolfe – We met briefly at last year’s OpenEd in Richmond. I attended your presentation along a similar vein of looking back at open ed’s historical literature, and it’s something that’s been in the back of my mind since then. I’m gearing up to move into my lit review stage of the doctoral process and greatly appreciate hearing about you and your colleagues continuing thinking on this topic.

    • Hi Jennifer – great to hear from you. Yes, there suddenly is a surge of interest in looking at historical perspectives – I’m really glad to hear you are getting stuck into your doctorate. What we do need is good quality research in this area and it sounds like you are making great progress. Do stay in touch so we can hear how you are getting on 🙂
