Systematic review

The different types of review articles seems to be ever growing, from systematic reviews and maps to scoping reviews. Other types include critical and narrative reviews. When in higher education I always taught students from year one some of the basic steps of systematic reviewing as I believe (and they would feed back) that this provides a great background to desk-top research, and will support them throughout their studies.

This page provides resources I pulled together from when I taught on a Professional Doctorate programme. It provides a brief overview to systematic review and I hope to illustrate the usefulness of applying some of the steps to your research process. Here are all the materials used in the session and more.
